Loung Hing Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
I Love Loung Hing. Sue and her family are Awesome! Best Chinese Food!!!! They fill the plates completely full. I got one sweet and sour chicken dinner with 4 extra egg rolls and it was enough to get me and my 4 kids full. They make the best egg rolls. They have kind of a sweet taste and are never oily. Always a 15 minute wait and they have good prices. Great place.
The Asian restaurant near me closed suddenly, and this was the closest. I was hesitant because most Asain restaurants aren't true to their food menu descriptions. I ordered a General TSOs chicken, a Sesame chicken, and Sweet & Sour chicken, all with house rice. I also ordered egg drop soup( my favorite ). We all ordered what we wanted and the bill was under$60. The other place would've cost me every but of$70 for all we ordered. I HAVE FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT.
Open normal hours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2024. Yes only place in Metro Detroit you can get these Old School Chinese Diner Rolls from the 50's, they disappeared many decades ago. I got a six pack Oh the memories of my youth in China Town Detroit. The most pleasant surprise my addiction since a kid OMG . Had a new favorite Medium Heat Curry Chicken WOWED only ten bucks lunch totally blown away Delicious. I've been a customer over 40 years next door to Senate Coney Island on Ecorse. I'm making meatloaf sandwiches with my Xtra Chinese Dinner Rolls for another winner. They bake them several times each day a $1 each so mega Deal #lounghing #oldchinese #chinesedinnerrolls #currychicken #lowprices #taylormi #downriverclassic #downriverfriendseat
I just posted Menu from My last visit 11/2025. Excellent service, excellent food but as this horrible economy unfortunately the prices haves arisen!
I really hope they open inside dinning soon. Tried them tonight, and my buddy and I got a lot of good quality food for a reasonable price. The woman at the counter was so kind as well. We walked in to order and she answered all my questions about things I didn’t recognize on the menu (like WarBar and Subgum soup) We’ll definitely be back
I love this place. My family does as well. We’ve been coming here for years. We come here all the time for the almond chicken and the sauce that comes with it is absolutely amazing. I’ve tasted nothing like it from no where else. The meat is really good, tastes fresh. I occasionally get the general tso chicken because I tried it and like the sweetness. (No spicy lol) cause I can’t handle spicy. I really like it. The chicken was good and plentiful. I get really torn between these two dishes. I’m scared to try more in a way because I might really like that too. Then I’ll really have a hard time to decide.
This was my first time trying food from Loung Hing. I was impressed with my order. I ordered a combination dinner of chicken lo mein and a large won ton soup. The soup had more vegetables than vegetable soup! It was good and included a lot of fried won ton. The egg roll contained shrimp and did not disappoint. My lo mein was tasty and seasoned well. The fried rice was also very good. There was so much food that it had the carry out container bursting into overflow. I will be back to try more!
The food was very delicious and filling, me and my gf got a really good meal the other night that was hot and ready in about 15 minutes, we will be returning again
